I’m going with a grand total of 9 points. If we’re lucky.

Toilet seat remains down with Holland peeing all over it.

The good news is if this trend continues into the playoffs we get 8 toilet seat up games. Should be good for a couple of series before instant replay of last year.

I’d be happy if we went 2-8 but both victories were 6-0 wins vs Toronto.

If Calgary heats up - look out.
Flames have a pretty tough 10 game stretch as well. Not quite as tough as ours, but still playing a lot of good teams. Each team has 22 games left, if we even go .500 the rest of the way, say something like 9-9-4, the Flames would need to go 12-6-5 to pass us. I'm quite confident we will be better than .500 the rest of the way, so not really worried about the Flames. They are playing like crap.

Saying that, I would be happy with .500 or better over this stretch.

Thankfully Markstrom is broken.

At this point the "toughness" of the schedule seems to mean diddly squat with the Oilers. Games against teams like yesterday in the Bedard sweepstakes and they come out not ready to play. Bu they have proven they can play up to their competition as well. That is a problem in itself. I'm predicting a 6-4 record.

The home game against Ottawa seems like the only probable no-show. Can probably give that one an L already. They'll somehow go 2-0-2 against Boston/Toronto to compensate, but end up with 11 points after a disappointing loss in Seattle to close things out. With a dozen games left they'll be clinging to third in the division, still only a couple points out of 1st place, but also one bad week away from WC2. Woody will extol them for just 5 regulation losses in their previous 27, Kenny will still be tire kicking on trade targets.

Really tough competition in these next 10 games. Expected points based on what the teams they are playing give up to their opposition on average is only 9.03 points, and Edmonton has generated against similar opposition at about a 10.8 point clip.

So Edmonton really needs to step up their game in the next 10 if they want to stay in the hunt for home ice.
