This is key regardless of circumstance. From a seller’s point of view, there’s a huge risk in still having tickets in hand when the game starts. At that point you’re up against the wall to potentially lose your entire investment, because you tried to squeeze a few extra bucks of if it. There’s a natural drop in prices in the hours leading up to any event (with the exception of events that finally sell out on gameday, but that’s not relevant here).

Of course, if you wait that long you’re at the mercy of what inventory is still left over. But at least it gets you in the door, if you can find a reseller who’s just trying to cut bait before it’s too late.

I have arrived to 2 of the playoff games a little late and there were scalpers outside with tickets still. They were being pretty aggressive so I assume they would be giving a good deal. Like you mentioned though waiting last minute is risky

That’s the baller move. I have always avoided messing with in-person scalpers, but the one time I did it was when I arrived after a game had started. When he tried to sell over face value I just looked around and was like, “who else are you planning to sell it to?”. He ended up calling me back over to sell it at face value.

Would NOT want to take that risk on any kind of regular basis though.

The only time I ever did this was for a Depeche Mode concert at the Verizon center in DC that I had no idea was happening until wrapping up a biz dinner across the street. It worked out great.

If Game 6 happens, Ill have two available in 306 row A.

Asking for 150 each. That is cheaper than regular price tickets in worse sections and rows with no fees.

I can transfer once game 6 is a definite. I will need a ticket master account’s associated email address and name. Pm me.

Tickets are $85 on Ticketmaster now, you should come.

Shocked they’ve dropped that much, I unfortunately paid the $180.
Was actually just coming to post that the prices have fallen significantly on the secondary market. Is there going to be crap weather or something (just seems odd that's happening because I would've thought the prices would've skyrocketed after going up 2-0)?

It's the tickets being released by the other team (and I'm assuming the players as well?) that causes it. The games arent sold out anymore because the Canes put regular tickets on sale again that were held and not claimed. They also list those tickets for less than the cheapest resale price.

Do we have a time on when they release the extras? Feel bad that my dad is giving up his ticket so my wife can go with me (it's our 5th year anniversary), so I'm trying to grab at least 1 more for him.
