Surprised to see him signed so soon.
That said, hope he plays in Kitchener next year!
Yeah I was ok with Slafsquatch getting signed but was there really any need to sign the 26th pick this soon?
Yeah, if they want to send him to the CHL instead of a pro league the signing bonus will make it more comfortable for a good prospect to live more comfortably.
Is he allowed to go to the CHL for 1 year then go to the AHL since he is coming from a Euro league? Or does going to the CHL lock him into 2 year?
We can do whatever we want whenever we want.
Excellent, so 1 year in the CHL, followed by 1-2 years in the AHL. Then NHL. Sounds like the plan to me.
Capped and expanding league!I'm not sure about signing late firsts this early. What if he doesn't progress and we would be better off with the compensatory 2nd rounder?
Whatever, I'm sure he'll be fine his hands are good.
At this point? Doesn’t this mean we are in complete control of his development? As a posed to negotiating with a foreign team’s wishes for him?Yeah I was ok with Slafsquatch getting signed but was there really any need to sign the 26th pick this soon?
If he goes to the OHL can we call him to the AHL if he wrecks shop?If he does go OHL
after playing 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 year olds for the last TWO years
He's going to be LAUGHING playing teenagers lol
I'm good anywhere he goes, congrats
Still subject to the International Agreements, if he is under contract in a foreign league. like Norlander last year is possible he only has an NHL release. However, based on Hughes response at the PC it seems he is not tied into an agreement. At this point? Doesn’t this mean we are in complete control of his development?
