When we are considering these lists, one must consider three criteria:

1. Ceiling (both high end and low end. Some players dont have the highest ceilings, but their chances of reaching their potential is near guaranteed)
2. NHL readiness

Therefore, the prospects in the top three should both have a high ceiling and near guaranteed chance of reaching that ceiling, i.e., Subban, Price, Galchenyuk, etc.

My list based on these assumptions:

1. Tinordi
2. De la Rose
3. Fucale
4. Andrighetto
5. Lehkonen
6. Pateryn
7. McCarron
8. Nygren
9. Hudon
10. Reway

11. Bennett
12. Crisp
13. Collberg
14. Thomas
15. Dietz
16. Gregoire
17. Bozon

  • Note that I do not have Collberg ranked in my top 10. This is because I feel he is too weak and one dimensional. If he manages to play less of a perimeter game and increases both his speed and strength in general, he could be a Michael Ryder type of scorer.
  • I really like Nygren's potential to be at least an NHL powerplay specialist. For that reason I see him being perhaps a Mark Streit/Alex Edler.
  • I think Pateryn is still raw, but that his skill set and maturity as a person will get him to the NHL.
  • If Hudon can manage to stay healthy I see him as a top 9 forward in the NHL.
  • Lehkonen has major upside because he is both fearless and skilled, despite his size.
  • I have Andrighetto ranked quite high because I like his commitment to fitness, as well as his hockey sense and shooting arsenal.
  • Reway deserves to be in the top 10 based on his upside alone IMO.
  • Mac Bennett perhaps should be in the top 10, but I have worries his knee injury may have derailed his career trajectory a bit.

That's pretty good to see! Especially when Toronto is ranked 29th

Interesting at #29 and 30.

No wonder Kristo is their top prospect and was #5 or 6 in Mtl.

I sent a message to my buddy who's a canes fans and he's confused as to why they're that high. He says even if Murphy and Lindholm are apart of it he wouldn't put them that high.

They just drafted McCarron inthe first six months ago..you really think the club has him ranked 9th..behind Nygren and Thomas?

Yeah, I think so. He's obviously not been overly successful so far this year and I think his stock has dropped a bit. Combine that with Nygren tearing up the SHL and being quite impressive while he was here and the team just recently trading a highly ranked prospect for Thomas.... I don't think he's bad, I just think others are better.

Bud of mine just sent me the actual list.

Here it is, feel free to delete/modify my post mods if you think I violate the rules.

De la Rose
Fucale
Tinordi
McCarron
Lehkonen
Collberg
Hudon
Andrighetto
Reway
Bozon

I would have to think Beaulieu slots into the top4 at the very least, so that means the Habs traded away their 7th best prospect in their mind for a player that might resign. I can live with that.

Yep, it also has him as our 4th best forward prospect with 4 more forwards that are behind him.

I knew they were high on De la rose but not that high.

Also, I'm surprised to see Bozon making the top 10, good for him.
