He has been. And rightfully so

Pageau is their best defensive forward at 23 and keeps on getting better. A centre that can play all four lines and be effective in that role.

24 and cannot play all 4 lines, is too limited offensively to play a top line.


I still much prefer to keep him though, I do like his game on the third line.
