In the early 2000s, for about a week big Steve McKenna became Lemieux and Kovalev's LW. They figured that with two superstars on a line together, it wouldn't matter if you added a giant body who couldn't skate. It kind of work, as he scored about 7 goals in that time if I recall. This experiment ended with Kovalev being traded to the Rangers.
