Covid is no joke. Wild first rounder Rossi missed virtually all of last season due to the after effects of Covid.
no shame if a player needs an IV to get better.

so, that’s why I don’t put any stock into Sekeras.
You are right C19 is not funny busy. Having said that, how to deal with it should be a personal matter.

The one formerly known as Don Taylor is no more. He has been replaced by the meme “Wedding Jeans Guy”.
They run the story like every day in the free block now. It must mean the Canucks is so bad. They try not to talk about it.

Kevin Epp, player agent for Hamonic blames vancouvers media for canucks losses, saying they are too negative on today’s Donny and Dhali show.

Kevin Epp (Hamonic's agent) is on Donnie and Dhali and is completely trashing the media.

One snippet:
"you look at the teams that have gone on to win the Stanley Cup in the last few years, they're in markets that the media doesn't sabotage the team."

What a dork, these are also markets who don't have a fool as a GM.

You’ve got to wonder how the Pats did it, how the Eagles won a recent championship, how European and South American soccer teams dont fold up into the fetal position because of the fan and media pressure!

here's the tweet:

this is pretty desperate stuff from an agent. It makes me think something really is up with Hamonic. There's no media pressure in Vancouver, at all. The idea that it weighs on these guys or that they are even aware of it is silly. It's extremely easy to go through your daily life in this city without ever hearing anything about the Canucks. When he says Vancouver is "hostile and difficult" and that players "don't want to come here" he means the organization sucks. Just say that you coward!

He had absolutely glowing things to say about Benning Green and the Aquilini’s. He said its media’s fault that those guys feel pressure when they shouldn’t feel pressure they should feel good. He was pretty much deflecting the teams and his players poor performance by blaming media and fans.

The agent is obviously going to stick up for the player.

But what a crock of shit.

Hamonic lied to the team about getting vaccinated and screwed the team and the fans over. No shit that people were pissed off.

And yeah, if this was Arizona or Nashville where nobody cares about hockey there probably would have been less backlash.

But this has generally been a media of asskissers and cheerleaders who are *so* soft in covering this team.

Also no shit he loves a bad GM who gives out stupid contracts to his clients.

Yup. Apparently the media is responsible for 8 years of a losing team, let alone a 50 year history of it. Some members of the media are click baiters but this is a seriously weak argument and classic of an agent. Should we get into what people think of agents???

Of course he has. Any other team would have jettisoned Harmonic for the bulljive he pulled with the vaccination. Instead, Aqua is paying him 3m to play 1-2 games/month. Another great value/$ contract by Jimbo.

I will admit, MS as Matt Sekeres takes over as this sites number 1 conspiracy theory and absolutely blows out of the water my “the Fire Gillis guys were paid actors” conspiracy.

This is Kevin Epp's attempt to get Hamonic out of Vancouver without putting the Canucks under the bus. Or, Hamonic likes getting paid putting in 50% of the work in Vancouver, and his agent wants the media to back off and act like they don't notice.

Pretty much tells you that key players will looking for the exit doors after this season...Nobody wants to play in a toxic environment.

Good to see somebody calling out the media here for what they are.

Yup it's the media driving that, not all the years of mismanagement and losing. Players want to leave because Rob the hockey guy Williams wrote a scathing article, not because Jim Benning bungled the cap and let key players walk. Canucks army brought a player to tears so he wants out, not the fact that Jim keeps targeting garbage players and overpaying them, so the team remains in the basement of the league. Ridiculous.

That Kevin Epp interview is pathetic.

No wonder he doesn't want change, his clients get fat ass contracts.

Toxicity (from segments of media and fanbase) has been prevalent in Vancouver before Benning got here..and former GM's have made no bones talking about it (Gillis, Burke).
This envorinment does not go down well with a lot of players, and Epp expressed what most of us know already...Not helped when certain media people are flat out lying.

LMAO.

This is a toxic environment because a terrible owner and one of the most incompetent GMs in NHL history created a toxic environment.

The media is just saying that a bad situation is bad and that bad players on a bad team are bad.

The media has also tried to put lipstick on this pig for most of the last 8 years.

Players want out because Jim Benning is a Pejorative Slur and the team is a dumpster fire going nowhere, not because of what the media is saying about it.

Players actively took discounts to play here - under the same media - when the GM was good and the team was good.
