Thanks for the updates as always.

No problem. As usual, they're not much, as I'm listening to the radio, but hopefully someone who was able to watch, like orcatown, can provide a write-up after.

Shinkaruk scores on the PP! It was Friesen with the shot and Gaunce with the nice pass instead of the shot on the rebound, and Shinkaruk puts it away. Casey Bailey had been called for delay of game.

2-1 Marlies.

Great vision and awareness by Gaunce on the goal, by the way. It's actually his thing, as he's done it a couple times. It would have been so easy just to blast away at that rebound but instead he quickly spots Shinkaruk and taps the puck to him.

The Marlies score on the power play again. This time it's Kasperi Kapanen scoring. Marino had been called for hooking.

3-1 Marlies.

Green has loaded his top line for the 3rd period, putting Shinkaruk, Gaunce and Grenier together. He has also put Archibald on the checking line with Bancks and Hamilton in place of Pereira.

Ouch, Shinkaruk catches Pedan's big slapshot on the back of the leg.

Meanwhile, the Comets have a power play coming up. Hopefully Shinkaruk is ok to get right back out there. Need his finish.

Subban scores on the power play! It was Higgins who carried into the zone, he fed Landry, who fed Subban for the big shot.

3-2 Marlies.

Soshnikov ices it with an empty netter for the Marlies.

4-2 Marlies.

Both teams will meet again tomorrow at the same time at Ricoh.

Appears to me the difference in this game was goaltending....Marlies were out-shot and out-chanced in their own barn, and their goalie is the second star.....Subban really seems to be developing nicely....still looks tiny out there at times, but his skating and puck-handling are elite-level....if nothing else, he'd look good on the pp in Vancouver with a guy like Hutton at the point....'Nucks haven't had a pp qb since Erhoff was in his prime.
