My pick is Iginla personally but PK was awesome to watch in his prime. Shame he fell off so hard.

Grant Fuhr is another who had a great career and that would probably be my top 3.

My top 4 -
Iginla
Subban
Fuhr
Byfuglien

Iginla comfortably. Subban and Seth Jones have had individual seasons that have stood out, but Iginla also had a great peak and was more consistent.

I'm half black myself, and have read up a little bit on Herb Carnegie. What a travesty his story was in terms of being shut out of the NHL. He should've been the first black player in NHL history.

Agree with both points here.

Baseball has a well-known history of exclusion of black players after 1884 but hockey's history isn't squeaky clean by a longshot.

It really depends on who identify as black when they are multi-ethnic, if Iginla does I do not have anyone in mind that come that close, he is a clear first year of eligibly Hall of Famer, Art Ross winner at 24 that was still big deal when he was chasing cup more than a decade later that scored 625 goals despite peaking in the dpe.

He could very well be in the conversation to have been the best player on that 2002 team Canada gold squad with Sakic.
