Sutter got this same group almost made the playoffs with Markstrom played like shit. That’s coach of the year stuff.Sutter wouldn't have given a guy like Zary a chance it's a perfect reason he had to go.
I'd be playing the top D-men like Andersson that much too Calgary's defense isn't very good...time to shed most vets not named Andersson and bring up Poirier,Morin to see what they can do...then go shopping for some D-men in KHL or SHL for some prospects and veteran replacementsAndersson playing 27 minutes is a little crazy

Arm slashed by skate. indefiniteWhat's the extent and how long?
Except his fear of playing prospects was the exact reason why he was the problem.Sutter got this same group almost made the playoffs with Markstrom played like shit. That’s coach of the year stuff.
He lost his mind when the wizard gifted him Huberdeau and Kadri. Who wouldn’t. Huska already lost it after 10 games.
Yes, he deserved to go because the room was poisoned but that’s a great coach. They are not even close to competitive on most nights now.
He was not the problem on this team unless you want to tank
What prospects are you talking about? Zary and his first game? Solovoyo and his cup of coffee? Ruzicka, Duehr and Pelletier got their first taste under Sutter.Except his fear of playing prospects was the exact reason why he was the problem.
It's all about the big picture, not what happens in any given season. Did Sutter get more out of this group? Yes but to what end?
Could he have won a cup with this group? No. Could he have won a cup with this team give or take a few players within the next few seasons? No.
So what's the point? All Sutter did and does is delay the inevitable; that is the bottom falling out and the organization realizing they need a "significant retool".
Huska and Conroy for all their faults, are at least calling up the right prospects and giving them an actual fair chance to show what they can do. They might have been utterly delusion about how competitive this team is, but still they seem to be pivoting in the right direction. Maybe. We'll see.
Coronato has played all year. What prospects are you talking about? Zary and his first game? Solovoyo and his cup of coffee? Ruzicka, Duehr and Pelletier got their first taste under Sutter.
It’s not like their system are full of prospects being hold back.
But you are right, I already said if you want to tank, Sutter was not the right coach. He never felt that was his job.
