Ullmark was kinda crap on the 2nd and 3rd goals.

I don't know what's being taught but on that Ice Caps 4th goal you could have thrown a blanket and covered 5 players in white and none in red. Which is bad since the Amerks are wearing white.

The 5th was Donovan allowing extra whacks at a bad Ullmark rebound, but we knew that about Donovan.

It's happening again?

Catenacci with a goal from Rodrigues, then soon after Bailey breaking down the defense with O'Dell capitalizing. 5-3 now.

On the PP but under 2 minutes left.

Edit - can't play 1 period and expect to win. 5-3 loss in a must-win.

Game Recap - Amerks Third Period Rally Falls Short This Time - Friday, March 25 - Amerks.com

After an improbable comeback victory on Wednesday night, the Rochester Americans mounted another third-period rally against the St. John’s IceCaps on Friday, but history did not repeat itself as the Amerks fell by a 5-3 score. With the loss, the Amerks stand at 32-30-2-1 on the season.

Rochester outshot St. John’s 46-32 throughout the night, including 28-9 in the third period.

Brandon McNally scored twice to lead the IceCaps while Max Friberg (1+1) and Mark MacMillan each notched two points in helping St. John’s snap a three-game skid. Charles Hudon and Morgan Ellis both found the net for the second straight game to round out the scoring while Eddie Pasquale made 43 saves in the win.

Game Recap - Comets Late Goal Sends Amerks To Third Straight Loss - Tuesday, March 29 - Amerks.com

Carter Bancks broke a 2-2 tie with 56 seconds remaining in regulation as the Utica Comets erased a pair of one-goal deficits and scored three goals in the third period to come away with a 3-2 win over the Rochester Americans Tuesday at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. The Amerks have now lost three straight and five of their last six to fall to 32-32-2-1 heading into the final month of the regular season.

After allowing Rochester to take the lead twice on goals from Justin Bailey and Matt Ellis, Utica answered back each time before Bancks delivered the game-winner with less than a minute to play in the third period. The Comets close out the season series with a 6-2-0-0 record over Rochester this season and take a 10-point lead ahead of the Amerks in the AHL’s North Division standings.

Chad Ruhwedel and Cole Schneider each contributed an assist while Linus Ullmark turned in another solid 33-save performance in the loss for Rochester. Mike Zalewski and Alexandre Grenier jumpstarted the third-period comeback effort for the Comets behind 25 saves from Richard Bachman.

Winning Goal - The Comets completed the comeback while taking their first lead of the game with under a minute to play as newcomer T.J. Hensick circled the zone before finding Rochester native David Shields at the right point. Ullmark made the initial save on Shields, but Bancks was able to dig out the loose puck amid the scramble that followed and tucked it in with 56 seconds remaining to give Utica the 3-2 win.

GMTM is an 0 fer as Amerks GM. 3 seasons now. If he was capable of building a winner, wouldn't he be doing it in Rochester where there's no necessity to tank?

Next year will be a big year for Rochester if the Sabres allow players to develop like Fasching, Bailey, and Carrier.

He's not trying to win in Rochester. That much is obvious at this point. It's just a place to plop prospects.
