@AmerksHockey - A too many men penalty sends Binghamton to the power-play with under 12:00 to play in the second period.

And the #Senators capitalize on the power-play. Former Amerk Phil Varone cuts the lead in half.
LaxSabre - Another former Amerk Jason Akeson with one of the assists.

@AmerksHockey - Binghamton ties it up at 2-2. A long range shot from Jerome Leduc eludes Ullmark.
LaxSabre - Well you just knew he would get in on the scoring.

@AmerksHockey - And seconds after the tying goal, William Carrier drops the gloves with Binghamton's Mac McCormick in a spirited bout at center ice.

@BSens_Hockey - #BSens take the 3-2 lead as @pvarone22 spins on an odd man rush and finds @T_Ewanyk alone in front who buries his 5th of the season!

@AmerksHockey - Binghamton takes a too many men penalty, but score shorthanded to take a 3-2 lead. Travis Ewanyk steers in a centering feed from Varone.

@AmerksHockey - That does it for a wild second period in Binghamton with the #Amerks #BSens tied up at 3-3. Rochester with a 23-19 advantage in shots.

@AmerksHockey - Varone scores his second of the game to put Binghamton up 4-3 with 13:01 to play in the third.

@BSens_Hockey - #BSens retake the lead 4-3 with 13:01 to play as @pvarone22 backhands home his second tally of the night! Great feed from @MikeBorkowski92

@AmerksHockey- Binghamton takes a 5-3 lead with 5:40 remaining as Mike Borkowski converts his own rebound.
LaxSabre - Phil Varone with an assist on the goal - his fourth point of the night - two goals - two assists.

Better News - Congrats to RIT Tigers on winning the Atlantic Hockey League Tournament for the second year in a row.
They defeated the Robert Morris Colonials 7-4 this evening in the championship game.

LaxSabre - Amerks lose 5-3 - host Providence on Sunday - 5:05 pm ET face-off.

Rough game tonight. They threw a lot of rubber on net in the first, and then things fell apart early in the second. They looked listless and lethargic throughout the lineup. Even Bailey, despite the nice goal, seemed to be plodding up and down the ice. And the passing tonight...oy. Some of the worst I've seen at the pro level. Way too many passes behind guys or thrown blindly through the middle of the ice. Kaleta also pulled a classic Kaleta and injured himself by launching himself into the boards.

and add that the teams they were chasing got points = terrible weekend for the Amerks.

Also from the article, Bailey has a hungry demeanor for a rookie:

"We have 13 games left," rookie right winger Justin Bailey said. "We just need to put a streak together. When we get hot, not many teams can play with us."

Bailey knows a little about streaking. He has been on a serious roll, producing 11 goals, 13 assists and 24 points in his past 18 American Hockey League stretching back to Jan. 18. There were a pair of recalls to the Buffalo Sabres along the way.

His goal on Sunday was No. 16, the most scored by anyone in an Amerks sweater this season.

"I'm almost expecting myself to score now," Bailey said.
