I agree they better get this right.

That said only one of those GMs had Connor McDavid, and really even Leon Draisaitl and Oscar Klefbom and Darnell Nurse to work with.

On top of Hall and RNH and Eberle and Schultz, which is about as good as it got for Tambellini and Mac T.

Good point. Chia did start with alot. He really could have built around the core from the MacT era if he was a smarter GM. Giving up on Schultz was talent lost. Hall too. Ebs as well.

What do you think of Chiarelli's probable firing?
It's lipstick on a pig.

Until they overhaul the front office, it's just evidence that there's a lot more going on behind those closed doors than we're led to believe.

I'll be watching with a keen eye, but I doubt we see as significant a turnover as you'd expect from a team disposing of a GM's entire staff.

The Oilers were tentative in the first, phoning it in in the second, and seeking redemption in the third. Koskinen was so-so, and Draisaitl (and to a lesser degree, Nurse) played well again. I hope the team turns around for the next game in over a week, as I think Klefbom is supposed to be coming back.
