Wow Zhukenov has a 26.7s% so far. 20p in 18.

Anyone have an idea how he's been playing? Always been an interesting prospect to me due to his great IQ, hands, and ability to make prudent and feisty plays.

Aside from Boeser and Juolevi, who else is likely to play in the WJC?

I've seen Jasek penciled into a few lineups on the international tournaments board. Czechs do have a pretty shallow forward depth pool this year so he might make the team even though he's not really doing much in the top tier league.

Although Lockwood got no points over the weekend I think he played very well. I really think he can be a impact bottom 6 player for us in the future. He skates extremely well, plays with urgency, hits, he's got great hands and can control the puck well at speed. The one thing I've really noticed that will probably hold him back is his inability to create shots. To me, that seems like his biggest weakness, which is strange because you'd think his skill set and stats suggest he's a more of a sniper. But last I checked he's averaging less then 2 shots per game. Maybe it has to do with the fact he's used to playing a sort of grind it out style in the USNDT or what. I've said he's more of a perimeter player before, but even then I don't think that's really the issue the more I've watched him. To me I just get the sense that he's a player not used to playing in the top 6. Maybe we'll see him explode once he does figure out how to play a top end forward.

IDK, either way, Lockwood is a prospect to be excited about because I do think he has legitimate NHL upside. Just needs to generate more shots

Brisebois is a major longshot, even though he got an invite.

Lockwood would have to be considered highly likely, though.

Don't think it's highly likely. The US forward group is absolutely loaded.

Check out one of the proposed lineups from the WJC forum:

Greenway-White-Roslovic
Debrincat-Kunin-Boeser
Mittlestadt-Brown-Yamamoto
Jones-Frederic-Fischer
Thompson

Jones-McAvoy
Krys-Fitzgerald
Greenway-Fox
Dineen

Oettinger
Parsons
Woll

That's without Keller and omitting a guy like Patrick Harper, who's scoring at a 1.4 PPG clip for BU as a freshman.

I noticed from doing some stat clicking that there aren't actually that many guys Lockwood's age on most D1 ncaa teams, and a lot of them aren't really producing much. So I decided to check his numbers against his age group ('true freshman' 98' borns):

http://www.eliteprospects.com/leagu...&sort=u19&leagueteam=&nation=&name=&order=PPG

His production looks really good in that context, particularly for a guy who has a lot of qualities that might make him a great bottom 6er.
He's kind of got his own tier as the only player in between .57 ppg and 1 ppg.
7th in the ncaa in ppg at .83

And he's tied for first in that U19 group for goals scored.
Technically speaking, that is. Keller has one fewer but has
played five fewer games. But still, he's playing great for his age group.

Right you are about Brisebois
Didn't realize there were 10 invites with like, 7 of them being on the left side
So quite the longshot

Who needs rookies in the WJC anyways ?!

How fun is it going to be to watch these two reunited and on the same NHL team.

Can't wait. Also really anxious to see how rodin will play. If he can be a 2nd line player or even just produce 15-goals that will be huge
