99% of NHL defenseman produce in juniors. I know his team sucks and I haven't watched him play, but given his stats and youngg stars tournament, its definitely disapointing.

Well, here's an encouraging sign - Brisebois was selected to play in the Canada-Russia Series for Team QMJHL. Games are Nov 17 (Rouyn-Noranda) and Nov 19 (Halifax).

Can't they find a way to get this kid on to a decent team in the QJHL?....obviously the other coaches in the league seem to value him.....but a d-man trying to play a shutdown role on a bad team in the 'Q' is a recipe for disaster.

I agree but Konecny is no slouch either. He has 28 pts in 19 games so far in the OHL
But at the time, I really wanted Juulsen since we lacked top end D prospects

Konecny is also playing well. Not that I'm unhappy with Boeser but I find it funny how quickly we are to anoint ourselves the winner of each draft selection, pretty much always prematurely. Even with McCann, he's playing great but it's not like Barbashev is playing bad either. By next year things could change drastically. Nothing wrong about getting pumped about your own prospects but I would hold back from putting other prospects down prematurely unless you are ready to eat crow.
