Seems to me this thread was made as a sort of protest against all the negativity that often pervades HFJets. One of the greatest miracles of this season is that the Jets have somehow turned this place into a pleasant, happy, and positive forum. So for now, every thread is a "positivity thread". Now that's real magic.

The "days since Stempniak has been mentioned" counter is at it's highest number since 2015.

Agreed. I've always thought this thread is meant to offset the tank threads and the like. I've also been using it to store feelgood stats and predictions (please forgive me for occasionally double posting) so some day in the very distant future when we're no longer at the top of the league I can come back to this thread and enjoy some "hey, I remember when" moments.

Love the props Hendricks gave out to True North in his post presser. A winning team is one thing. To have a team that wins AND treats it's players right will bring the right ufa's in at reasonable prices. F the weather. Players want to win and be treated right. BUT that doesn't really matter because we kill it on the draft floor! Following this team since it started in Winnipeg has been such a pleasure. The ups and downs of draft and develop and turning a weak organization into in my mind, top 3 club in the league. Remember all the bush league comments? Look at us now. With a team that is built for success moving forward. Believe it or not we have the envy of the league for management. We also now have that culture built that PoMo preached about early on. I love this damn team and what it's growing into.

Fans don't have patience anymore and it has seemed to seep its way into head offices across many sports as well.

Thankfully not the Jets however.

Trying to outdraft 30 other teams does have its potential downfalls but this can be mitigated by spending money on things that don't count towards the cap like scouting staffs.

There is a lot to be positive about right now, the Jets looking like a well oiled machine, the BellMTS Atmosphere inside and out is looking extremely intimidating for opposing teams and opposing viewers watching on TV, my Softball team has it first game next week, summer hockey at the Highlander starts next week, my fiance and I got just got our first dog together last week and she's perfect, this weather has been stellar for the last week or so, beer is good, helping Zham with the Game Day Threads, have Infinity War tickets for this Thursday, you all make me happy and of course having the worlds best daughter helps a lot. Our city rules as does our team.
