Not surprised. The Clippers finally surged out of the abyss just a couple years ago, it would be a lot easier to say yes if this was 10 years ago when the Clippers sucked ass and fielded players like Miles, Richardson, Maggette and Odom. The Clippers franchise is an absolute cash cow right now, especially with the Lakers tanking and sucking for another forseeable 3-5 years.

Wish I had an extra $800mn sitting around in my bank account... Would definitely be in on this forced firesale.

Have to wonder how they'll "force" Sterling to sell though. An extended boycott of some sort?

And if the other owners refuses to work with the Clippers...
Sterling may just feel enough pressure to sell.
It may take a few years though...
Because he is really stubborn.

Unfortunately...
It is really not much of a punishment...
Because he will still make a ton of money...
Since he bought the franchise for a bit over 12 million...
And last year...
It had an estimated worth of over 500 million dollars.
I agree with your number...
And he will probably get closer to 800 million dollars in the end.
Even with inflation factored in...
And over 30 years of operating budgets...
He will still make out with a huge profit.

Honestly...
It is a little deflating when all the details are examined.
Nobody is really punished in this instance.

There are plenty of ******** who will get away scot-free for all the crimes they've committed; e.g. fracking by big oil companies, etc.

Got an internship at Chek News today!

Going to be working alongside Jeff King and Mike Walker in the sports department.
