15-year contract extension between Ohio State and Nike is believed to be the largest college apparel deal ever. Once the deal goes into full effect in 2018, when Ohio State’s previous deal was to expire, its value will average $16.8 million per year. That is more than the amounts Texas and Michigan each get according to their recently signed deals with Nike, and more than Notre Dame reportedly receives in its deal with Under Armour, which went into effect in 2014. The Wall Street Journal first reported the extension.

Whew, that's a ton of money.

We (Bama) are also Nike, but I'm not sure about any of the details. I would assume we are going to re-up with them UNLESS they keep bothering us with these silly uniform concepts.

BYU and Cincinnati (and maybe others) sigh in despair.

I think if BYU were willing to drop the "we won't play on Sunday" thing for their other sports they'd be in already. They're not, so the Big 12 is basically saying "**** em".

Not sure who #12 would have ended up being. Cincy makes sense geographically, as do Memphis and Houston. Don't think any of those 3 is a big enough brand though. BYU would be but they're going to try the independent route for a bit first apparently.

Lane Kiffin isn't going to leave unless he gets a lot of money from a huge school.

Jonathan Allen staying another year at Bama.

Tim Williams, Ryan Anderson, and Eddie Jackson (mentioned earlier in this thread) are coming back too. Reuben Foster and OJ Howard are still on the fence. The 2016 defense could be on the same level as this past year...

signing day today. Rumors here in Columbus have them "flipping" 1 4-star and 1 5-star recruit today from other schools along with signing another 4-star recruit. Interesting to see where the rankings are after today:

Per Rivals as of this morning:

1-LSU
2-Ole Miss
3-The school in Ann Arbor
4-Irish
5-tOSU
6-Clemson

Don't be surprised when Texas brings in the best class in the state this year.
