Haha, yeah, I posted about it before, ended up picking up another Leafs jersey, as well as a Lundqvist and a Nordiques jersey. I'm supposed to be going on vacation next month, I don't know where all this money is coming from LOL!


The Lupul jersey is sitting in the cart, all my shipping plus CC info is all inputted....

Of course, I'm hoping to get chosen for the WC tickets too, more monies there.

LOL i'm the same way. I'm actually going to Toronto (hopefully the leafs are still playing) but I realised that I didn't have ANY Leaf clothing except for my 1 teeshirt, and two very old sweaters. I don't wear my third jersey (since it's white). so i went to town LOL. i just want a hoodie now but i don't like their hoodie options. but it's like.... where is the money coming from, i dunno!

I was a little disappointed the winter classic jerseys weren't more navy blue and dark like the promotional pictures. In person they look a little meh, and there's too many stripes on the arms.

I ordered a Lupul WC jersey and everyone I know who ordered one (both Leafs and Wings) got an email that its backordered and will be shipping in 2-3 weeks.

On another forum, someone called in and had a few questions answered, said that the logo crest is sewn on, but apparently everything else is ironed/stuck on, and there is no Winter Classic shoulder patch.

I was debating cancelling my order, but I'll probably just wear this WC jersey, and depending on price of the "authentic" jerseys, I was going to frame and put it in my hockey cave.

Take it for what its worth, the WC jersey listings have no info, but in the pic there is no shoulder patch.

What's the point of including the patch - the one available right now is made for the Authentics which are not even available to the public yet.

Upon further investigation - if you are interested in a collectable jersey read on! If you just want the WC to wear to the game and couldn't care less about the details, then buy away.

NHL Shop heat-presses their lettering/numbering and does not stitch them on - not a big deal since these are premier jersery's anyway (replica). However, the materials used for the cresting are typically very cheap and fake looking (compared to reputable customizers) and perhaps worse, the fonts are usually not done right (size, style etc).

The patch that is available at Real Sports is the wrong size for the premier jersey's - google it. There is a smaller sized patch that fits the premier WC that is not available yet, the one being sold now only fits the authentic WC's which, are also not available yet.

At Real Sports, someone inquired about the cresting and they're using the current fonts and numbers which seems WAY off because I'm assuming the fonts for the WC jersey's will be unique.

Cancelled my order.

Also, the alumni jersey is absolutely a horrible choice. Way to dig up the jerseys from the team's worst era... equivalent to the Toronto Blue Jays using their Black Jays era uniforms for some future event...

The 2 best looking jerseys currently in the NHL in my opinion; with Chicago up there as well. This iteration of the jersey has only strengthened this position. They are both incredible. Even if the Leafs jersey looks like it has a cape, with that white up top.

The crest is the best part hands done. It's beautiful.

It's too stripy though. And the white on the shoulder was a miss step.

This jersey I feel will look much better on the players than hanging on a rack.

I'm more looking forward to the rest of the Leafs winter classic apparel. Has any been released? I'll be all over that stuff..

These are prime seats, VIP entrance to parties, pictures on the ice, etc.. it's not just one ticket price.

This is from the NHL Shop site, the sweater is definitely not as thick as my other sweaters. All logos and lettering/numbering are stitched though.


I wouldn't pay full price+taxes for them, but at $142.xx shipped, I could of spent it on last weeks lottery and win nothing

NHL making a cash grab to recover losses from the lockout.

so if they do a 24/7 for the Leafs / Wings game and not the others does that make sense? if they do it for all six its way to much for ESPN to commit resources too.

Nope, they'll do one. And they'll probably either focus on the most marquee series...or they'll cover a couple of teams in a single 24/7.

My concern is that the Leafs may get screwed out of the 24/7 again. Fact is, NYR vs NYI or Jersey would be a juicier fruit to HBO, as would ANA vs LA...

It's overall too crowded IMO whereas the detroit one is simple. All the other WC jerseys are really nice. Chicago/Pits are the top ones. The least two I like are the caps and leafs... which happens to be my favourite teams.

It would be nice if they just put that classic logo onto a standard jersey with 2 thin stripes, or the 3 stripe pattern from the socks. It's already quite a beautiful design.
