Haha you’re right that would be our luck. Fortunately with the new lottery format only the first 11 picks are lottery eligible.
I thought all non-playoff teams were eligible, it's just that you can only move up a max of 10 spots. So only the top 11 have a shot at #1, but #15 could still get to #5.

Didn't this basically already happen in 2019?

Wild were set to pick 12th and Chicago moved up from 13th to 3rd overall.
