cory was a huge problem since the trade was made imo. they resigned him i think in some small way to save face on trading the 9 pick to get him. now? you dont need an all star in net to win you just need steady reliable in net.

Keith is a lot easier to make disappear, Cory it depends how much money/cap they’re willing to eat. They’d have to either eat $18 million total over three years or $12 million in cap space over six.

neither goalie should be on this roster next year. if the team is afraid to buyout cory and having x amount of dead cap space while being a bottom cap team? its truly mind bobbling.

They wont do it while hes in bing.... say its rehab. Hes just lost it, needs a change of scenery to see if he can make some sort of comeback

Well he's only gonna get another start or so there before they have to make a decision on him to bring him up or waive him. If he's not even competitive at the AHL level then what's the point of letting him play here and further emasculating him in front of angry home crowds or salivating road crowds?

You'll get no argument from me on that, he's been a predictable autoloss for quite some time

On some level I feel for the guy despite the bloated salary vs. performance, but it seems more obvious than ever that he's got some serious limitations

His post-surgical movement is woefully inadequate and mentally he's got to be thoroughly shell-shocked by now

Both clubs have sketchy defense to be fair, but Cory really looks cooked
