G: The new guys were solid. Loved how Deslauriers was energetic, finishing checks and he had a nice scoring chance. Neuvirth stood on his head! New guys were great.
B: The refs. Holy crap.
U: This team can not score.

Loved Deslauriers, hope he sticks for a few games.

Neuvirth was more than impressive with 40+ shots AGAIN against this team.

With the injuries, Deslauriers may stick around for awhile. Hell, Luke Adam may too. With Conacher probably playing next game, it should get interesting.

Luke Adam has been passed yet again (Deslauriers) on the depth chart.

Good game for the new guys, but Jack Eichel has 36 points in 17 USHL games so there's that.

Good:

NEUVIRTH's debut of 42 saves on 44 shots, allowing only two goals and those shorthanded.

DESLAURIERS' 4 shots and 5 hits in a 15:08 NHL debut.

HODGSON's hustle, defensive play (including 4mins of PK), 60% face-offs, 4 shots and continued offensive pressure despite playing with yet another set of new wingers.

Team combining for 0 giveaways!!

Team combining for 28 hits!!

Not a single Sabre being a neg on the +/-.

Bad:

D'AGOSTINI rewarded with 19:26 TOI for what exactly?

Having a 1C (ENNIS) who can't be trusted to take a faceoff.

ENNIS jumping to target the head, risking a suspension in a close game.

Ugly:

FOLIGNO getting himself tossed on a dubious hit just coming off a 2 pointer night.

leino on the 1st line.

leino taking the 1st line faceoffs.

Sad:

leino.

Thinking about leino.

Drinking because of leino.

Nothing new. Hes always had trouble taking faceoffs in the NHL.

Let's be fair. Depending on the team, Ennis, Hodgson, Ott (when he was here), all had good and bad games at the dot.

what's the overall FO% of Ennis, Hodgson, and any other player who has taken a significant amount of draws (like over 100) for the season so far?

Lol my ass we didn't have any giveaways. Some stat guy sleeping on the job.

There were a ton of horrible passes intercepted by Florida.

Thanks :5:

Wow, I didn't expect Ennis to be the absolute worst comparing him to all Sabres who have taken 100 or more face-offs. Shocking. I expected him to be much better at the dot. Well, maybe not much better but at least in the low to mid 40% range.

G:
The Neu guy

B:
Penalty call on Myers in 3rd. He go hit in the face twice too.
Ennis taking a cross check to the visor

U:
Empty seats

The Leino check - "spinorama", 8:37 left in the 1st period
The Leino hip check, 7:57 left in the 1st period
---these seem to sum up Leino's entire Sabres existence.

It's Florida. Every stat that is not a goal gets counted as a hit.

Luke Adam is a career AHLer to me. I just think he doesn't have the athletic ability to keep up in the NHL while reading and reacting to plays consistently.

Not surprised to see the positive review of Nic Des...Monarch fans would always mention how he'd be a constant ball of energy with his physical play, and ability to get a bevy of shots on goal.

Bummed to see he never got a shot with the Kings, Mcnabb better be good!
