So here is the best example I could find to explain the ELC issue

If we looked at it the way some are explaining it Galchenyuk went from a $3.225 salary cap hit on his ELC to a $2.8 mil cap hit on his bridge deal.

In reality he went from a $925k cap hit with bonus overages not counting against the cap (he got as high as $1.35 in actual salary last season) to his new $2.8 mil cap hit for his bridge deal.

With that being said if AoS' final decision is that we are using cap hit plus possible bonuses for ELCs I will shut up and move on.

Spotrac seems to be all screwed up, using different terminology than the rest. It doesn't make sense for it to be 925K. I'm going to go with the 3.225M that nhlnumbers and others have. I'm sorry I mislead you 94.

But every other high draft pick has a cap hit in the 3's, Jones should be no difference.
