Holy hyperbole, Batman!

The guy is still on pace to score 37 goals/63 pts this season even tho the last few games, especially on the PP has been landslide victories to his stats line.

You can see how the other teams' coaches have put special emphasis on how they treat Hoff on the PP. The front man on the opposing team leaning too much on Hoff that the left side gets to shoot without any obstruction. just look at Hubs goal to even the score: two, three unobstructed shots in row due to opposing point man put into shadow duty to guard against Hoff.
Exactly.

While Barkov hasn’t been scoring, he pulls people to him anyway, leaving others open.

Maybe. But I'd rather have someone who scores less but plays much better 5v5 where the majority of the game is played.

His 5v5 play has been really bad

No hyperbole at all. We’re talking about how irrelevant and even harmful his 5vs5 play is.
It’s disgusting right now. Dude is scared to get the puck first along the boards cause he don’t wanna get hit. That’s pathetic

Huberdeau has been back to his ELITE status since the talk with Q at practice after his benching.
His shot is noticeably stronger and more accurate which comes with confidence.
He can still be better.

74 goals, 202 pts in his last 208 games dating back to and including his 31 game shortened season in 16-17.
On pace for 44 goals, 50 assists. Most likely a dip in goals (24% shooting) for more helpers but pleasantly surprised with his new found scoring touch. Another 30 goal, 90pt season is possible for him

Teams cheat on Hoffman and give him so much time and space. It's like practice shooting for him.

I agree but none of his 7 goals have come on the PP yet from what I see. All even strength. His 3 PP points came in game 2 and 3.
Our 5 on 5 scoring has been way better as the PP is middling but should get better.
That tying goal was helped from a nice screen by Boyler.
Just glad he's shooting more and more as Barkov still thinks pass first too much.

Already has
(2) two goal games
(5) two point games, 3 of them in his last 5 games, which started right after the NSH game where he only played 13 mins
(2) GWG in his last 5 games
Only been held off score-sheet 3 of 13 games.

6v5 is in essence PP

Well then...you got a point. I've been fooled!
Been a treat to watch him go from a 50-60pt one dimensional player to a 80-90 pt elite play-maker with 30 goal touch

Anyone see Tkachuk’s between the legs (after a deflection too) OT winner? Unreal.

Why say it here? The level of skill is going up. It’s more than a couple of guys now. So the TEAM aspect is becoming even more important.

Barkov should probably shoot more but he’s a team first guy. He does a ton of stuff that helps set up scoring or prevent dangerous opportunities for the other team. Hubie’s OT winner was Sasha’s setup, while being taken down. That was an unreal pass. A bit like Tkachuk’s goal, but as a pass - and thus no one pays much attention. But it was high skill/compete level play.

To answer the question about how much you have to suck, the answer is that I think you can make the case that the Panthers have been the worst team in North American pro sports since the turn of the century. I can't really think of any teams that have a worse record of futility in that time except for possibly the Cleveland Browns.

So yeah, you have to be happy with that October. It was significantly better than the norm for us.
Dolphins have been pretty irrelevant to be fair.

The Dolphins are an absolutely disgusting mess, but -- and this is the horrific part -- have had playoff success more recently than the Panthers.

At some point you gotta win something if you want to keep your fanbase optimistic.
