I’m very very certain nyr is getting 2 or 3, and 3 would be great. They’d take podkolzin there for sure

After the lottery, we should do a Sabres board mock draft for the first round. Give us something to do for the next 10 weeks at least.

I wonder how they'll milk this thing for a full hour. Seems like it shouldn't really take more than 10-15 minutes.

segment ` talk about upcoming playoffs
segment 2 talk about the odds and the process of the lottery and who is in it
segment 3 talk to some of the GMs
segment 4 lottery for top 3

Last year was incredibly butt clenching. This year, I’m good with picking in the top 6. If we end up top 3 that’ll be fun. If we end up 3rd, the debates on this board will be incredible and I’d really look forward to reading those

I played the simulator once this year, that's it.

Philly jumped from #9 to #1, rest stayed the same

Over a 50% chance of sliding down 1-3 spots.

I asked in another thread, but does anyone know where the talent drop off is? I think from pick 2 to pick 3 you could argue the first one, but then the next drop is where??? Are pick 3-8 pretty much the same level of talent? Is it deeper, maybe picks 3-12?

The general consensus I've seen is that picks 3-10 are the second tier. I personally have 3 guys ahead of the rest (Turcotte, Byram, Krebs), but other people would likely say the same thing about Cozens, Podkolzin, Dach, etc. So it's pretty wide open after pick #2 right now.

I’d be pretty excited for 1 or 2. I’m not sure the difference between 3 and 7 would have me all that excited either way.
