We need to do playoff series predictions. After the lottery, we should do a Sabres board mock draft for the first round. Give us something to do for the next 10 weeks at least.
I wonder how they'll milk this thing for a full hour. Seems like it shouldn't really take more than 10-15 minutes.
3 Original Six teams. Chicago is also the MFN of NBCSN and the Winter Classic so they are my pick.So who is the NHL darling who will move way, way up the draft order? Montreal? Chicago?
The general consensus I've seen is that picks 3-10 are the second tier. I personally have 3 guys ahead of the rest (Turcotte, Byram, Krebs), but other people would likely say the same thing about Cozens, Podkolzin, Dach, etc. So it's pretty wide open after pick #2 right now.Over a 50% chance of sliding down 1-3 spots.
I asked in another thread, but does anyone know where the talent drop off is? I think from pick 2 to pick 3 you could argue the first one, but then the next drop is where??? Are pick 3-8 pretty much the same level of talent? Is it deeper, maybe picks 3-12?
I just want to win so we can make "Double Jackin it" jokes all summer.

Give me some combo of NJ, DET, BUF in the top 3.

For some stupid reason, I'm feeling we get #2. No idea why. Probably just gas.
