In Benning's defense, he's arguably playing as the teams #3 D-man right now.

How can we expect him to be even somewhat decent in that roll.(and I dislike Benning strongly)

Not even close to his best game tonight but that's to be expected from time to time considering the high level he has played at.

Drai was garbage tonight. Puljujarvi played pretty decent. No it’s not just me criticizing Drai’s play tonight. Maybe that should tell you something. It also says a lot how you go on a crusade everytime anyone says a bad word about him.

The wings are weaker. The D actually has a surprising amount of depth if everyone is healthy.

Fans and the team needed this to bring them back down to earth and keep them honest. The GDT poll definitely didn't help, nor did the ass officiating, but even without those factors this is still a loss.
