Go look at Markstrom's numbers against Edmonton all season. They are the big bad wolves to him. He can't play a game without allowing 4+
But that is exactly my point. Calgary were better than them. The reason they lost is that their goalie can't stop a beach ball against them.

Kings had a 16-4 run as well.
That insane LA run went 16-3 I believe and the Avs were 16-4, obviously. Still one of the most dominant runs in the cap era for sure.

This was the same run, and it was 16-4. (there was neer a 16-3 run.) The 2012 Kings got out to a 3-0 lead in all four series. They were 15-2 at one point but lost two in a row in the Stanley Cup Final before finishing it. And they did it as an #8 seed.

Going to bump this thread.

Do you think there is a team that we didn't play that would have given us a hard time in a 7-game series?
The Blues if we didn't run Binner. Edmonton if defensive legend Nurse was 100% and offensive dynamo but "not quite willing to go all out on defense" Draisaitl wasn't paralyzed.

The Capitals is my real answer. They played us better this year than anyone else iirc.

You better believe it man because the Avs are the champs they are the champions with too many men LOL

Sure the Kings and other teams had good playoff runs but the Avs are better

Drink all year!! Win again with Bedard!!

That would almost be the perfect team strategy.

Step 1: Win the Cup.
Step 2: Re-sign the guys that helped you win
Step 3: Party all next year and tank to get a top 3 pick
Step 4: Take it seriously the following season.

Your Cup window would be every other season from here till eternity.

It's not really tanking when you are playing bad because you are drunk the entire season.

"Mackinnon, Byram, Rantanen, Landeskog, Makar, Toews, Girard, Lehkonen. and Nichushkin are all on indefinite LTIR due to alcohol-related symptoms. In other news, the NHL is having difficulties locating the location of the Stanley Cup as no player recalls the offseason."

Update: The Stanley Cup has been found.

I started watching Quest for the Cup. It's a good way to relive this. Because I don't know about you, but I feel like I didn't take it in live.

Lol, they're in Florida and Huberdeau and Weegar are hanging out together. Hey, guess what, guys...

Not sure which one is worse: "The Kadri man can", or fired up locker room starting lineup announcements.
