He was always voted top10 in the NHL with MT on board.

Price was 7th in Hart voting and 5th in Vezina voting in 2011.

When we finished first in 2008, Price was 4th for Calder and 9th for Vezina.

If Price gets injured for any prolonged period, we are as good as a Jr team...........we have shown nothing with this coaching staff, and team in front of Price, that we would even make the playoffs.............Carey is Da System...

When Price went down vs the Rangers last year, they played pretty well for a JR team....

They did that with an AHL goalie at the time too, where as a team like Tampa folded pretty easy that year when they lost their starting goalie..

We lost to the Rangers, nuff said...we wouldn't have made the playoffs this year, if he had even been average...somr of our players have regressed under MT..........

Tampa has learned from their 1st round exit last year, but we just keep doing the same things over and over...

Do you honestly believe we are a good team without Price? We did not play that way this year...we didn't pass in the analytics, and or the eye test...

I would expect a backup goalie from "such a great defensive stalwart" team like the habs to post better than .910 IF it was indeed such a great defensive stalwart team.

Well ya but the narrative that this Habs team is even average, let alone good defensively has been shown to be false countless times.

Where's the other data? You've used two graphs to support your claim. where's the rest of this data?
Bottom third everywhere not goaltending
14-13-2 when we score one goal or less in regulation

Not sure what else you need to see here. The 2nd stat here alone says it all. 30 points we manage when scoring a goal or less in regulation is unheard of. Yes, a team's best player may mask some problems but not to that extent.

It's insane that we had 29 games where we scored one goal or less in regulation to begin with, that's a high enough number on its own. But to actually get 30 points out of it... unbelievable.

shhh, dont question da record, there are 110 reasons why you shouldnt question it.

It's interesting but runs contrary to the generally accepted story that Gainey had a huge hard on for Price and couldn't be swayed.

No it doesn't. Perhaps Pouliot had to come off the board first for Gainey to be so set on Price at #5. Point of the article seems to be, though, that scouting and the assistant GM were all on board for Pouliot, and might have lobbied extensively for him if both were still there at 5.
