Samorukov was voted the best hitter and defensive defensemen in the OHL. This article also named him the 2nd best prospect in the memorial cup after Noah Dobson, ahead of guys like Durzi and Suzuki.

It’s gonna end up with every fan base voting for their own prospect, team against their rivals prospects.
They are 3 very good prospects. Romanov is also harder to gauge as he never realy played much against his par!
Won’t vote but appreciate the 3 of them!

All 3 are outstanding talents, harder to get a gauge on romanov as he plays in the KHL.
I wouldn’t be surprised if all 3 end up as top 4 D

But Romanov played in the KHL at 18 years old ( never done before ) and won best defencemen at the WJ,have to think he would dominate if he played in the juniors like the other two

Definitely, I don't see them outside the top 4, but they might, we don't know!
Romanov is playing a lot of sheltering minutes in the KHL, All MTL fans didn't know how to react because he is playing extremely safe in the KHL.
We at least saw him at the WJC with more responsibilities and more creativity. We all thought he was a defensive defense-man who's playing really safe, but we saw at the WJC that he is extremely mobile with an amazing shot.
IMO he has all the tool to play in the NHL already, but we really need to see him in the NHL or AHL before.

The thing about the KHL.
Oilers had a prospect Ziyat Paigan who put up impressive numbers and came over and was a dud.
Romanov is better than him by quite a bit, it’s just hard to judge their play while being sheltered in an extremely defensive league
Your second last paragraph you could replace Romanov with samorukov and it holds true aswell.

Didn’t like what I saw from Samorukov at the WJC’s at all but this list can end up any way and I wouldn’t be surprised. Also didn’t know if you meant best Russian D out of those 3 only or or if I could choose my own so I added Gavrikov and Rykov

His IQ was lacking and his defensive effort wasn’t there, imo he was the worst Russian defenseman in most of the games. I haven’t seen him play much this year aside from WJC though whereas I’ve seen the other guys much more

And with Bouchard destroying the OHL and by far the best offensive dman in the league, and Bear/Jones maturing into solid defensive prospects guiding the Condors to a 17-win streak and a division title, Edmonton's blue-line,which has been it's weakest asset for over a decade, is going to be very competitive

It's true. So far there's three Oilers fans who've posted and chose the Dman with the least impressive stats and the least impressive pedigree, all because he got hot at the right time in the OHL playoffs.
Samorukov has had the lesser career so far and he clearly has the least talent, there's no reasons to go for him.
Should we mention every OHL Dman that didn't hit a PPG in their D+2 year ? Because that list is going to be much, much longer.

Wait ? Where did I say that ? Surely YOUR judgement comes from that, because there's no reasons to put Samorukov above the other two, let alone Alexeyev who's looked better, much better than Samorukov.
And just a tidbit of info, all three players have played on the same team at the WJC19, and Samurokov played behind both Romanov and Alexeyev (And wasn't even close to them in performance, lets be honest.), they played together for the U17 and Samurokov was behind, he played with Alexeyev at the u17 2017 and was behind Alexeyev, they also all played at the u20 selects this year.. And guess who was behind Romanov and Alexeyev ?

Someone that realizes Alexeyev could be exactly that, or a number one Dman because he has way better potential ?
Someone that realizes Romanov has outplayed Samurokov everytime they were on the same team ?
What do I know though, I am not a Oilers fan.
