Carolina is going to get absolutely fleeced in a trade this summer, it’ll be fun to watch around here when it happens

Jake Gardiner and Connor Brown. Probably throw in a draft pick as well. Not a 1st rounder though.

Sabres only have players I wouldn't offer or cap dumps/bottom 6 players. Rodrigues is probably our best NHL-player not named Eichel/Reinhart/ROR/Scandella/Ristolainen... I bet most haven't even heard of him. That's depressing.

Players that might hold mid round draft pick value: Okposo 50% retained, McCabe, Girgensons, Rodrigues, Bogosian 50% retained.

A serious attempt at an offer would be:
We take on the Darling contract and pray to God he rebounds
Asplund (projects as a really good 3C, could have a shot at the NHL in 19/20)
Bogosian 50% retained (at that cap hit he's an ok option for the third pair)
Girgensons (change of scenery, doesn't hold any value)
2nd round pick in 2018 (no 32)

We're a bad fit when it comes to Skinner since we're rebuilding. He should return a 1st+ from a contender or a similar player on a one year deal.

Well said. I was going to pop in for a "we got nothin'" but your post is spot on.

Skinner for 2nd & Jeremy Bracco

Underpayment, but wouldn’t give up much more for him

He has had his brains scrambled too many times. Maybe Bennett I guess.

Playing along, I don't think there's a value match for the Coyotes here so I don't think Chayka would offer much.

Maybe Panik?

Hjalmarsson and Demers might be closer value matches but I don't think Chayka wants to trade them. Hammer might go at the deadline but I don't think he goes in the offseason.

Is Sobotka/Berglund being sent back for cap reasons? Could the Blues afford to sign Skinner long-term otherwise?
Just a log jam with adding skinner alone without moving out guys.

Blues have nothing but LW lefties outside of Schenn and Tarasenko, who while left handed aren't LWs.

Blues could easily extend him unless they add a certain FA.

Isn't Fabbri almost as good as Skinner? At least somewhat close, if you factor in potential for further development at his young age? Blues fans all of a sudden want to trade like 4/5 years of Fabbri RFA control for one year of Jeff Skinner, AND add Berglund?

Am I misjudging how good Fabbri is, or are Blues fans really iffy on how good he will be post-injury, or... what's the deal here?
