He doesn't want to stop a project from getting off the ground, he wants to stop it once it is off the ground.

Lawsuit. DISMISSED. Full steam ahead!
I cannot see Twitter posts at work, but I see that the application for a temporary restraining order was denied, which meant that the case will move forward without a construction halt. Is there now news that the petition(s) were dismissed?
Judge denies Floral Park request to halt Belmont construction
KEEP DIGGING AT BELMONT!!!Give it to us Strait @Steve55. How does this impact Willets Point?

The complainants will soon be at the point where their settlement will be a gift card to Garden World.Got it. Still very good news. If I'm the plaintiffs, this is the start of some frank discussions regarding the amount of money necessary to proceed and the low chance of bringing this to a halt. I start thinking about reaching some sort of settlement to save face and maybe extract a few concessions for the constituents.

This is what this is about. They're not going to win. They (local govt officials and community group leaders) just want to be able to tell their constituents that they fought for them and stood up to the state and the developers and maybe even get some concession.I start thinking about reaching some sort of settlement to save face and maybe extract a few concessions for the constituents.
Don't forget all the helicopters flying around disrupting the residents and creating a safety hazard.Especially when the “irreparable harm” amounts to 5 extra cars an hour cutting up Plainfield Avenue.
