Teams don't play goalies as much in today's NHL because science proved that they get mentally and physically tired over time and their level of play decrease when they play too many games.

That's why.

Also I'm sure that the goalies themselves don't see it.

Players aren't on their feet for 60 minutes a night like goalies are. They also don't routinely do the splits at a second's notice. Fuhr feels completely out of touch here.
Crazy part is Fuhr wasn't a guy playing 70 games most of his career. Him calling out goalies for not doing things he rarely did himself is super strange.
