Hoping ABB, Goncalves or Finley have taken a step up.
I thought Goncalves was disappointing in the prospect tournament. I think Groulx sat him out of the 3rd game after he had an unsportsmanlike penalty at the end of the 2nd game.

When you can play with Stamkos, Hedman, Kucherov, Point, Sergachev, Cirelli, Cernak, Vasy, Paul and Killorn, in the same lineup, it's pretty obvious our window is still open.
The difference between winning and losing will be 1) the injuries 2) how guys like Hagel, Names, Colton and Serge will play and, of course 3) the refs.
Considering also the deadline, our roster is good to win.

I like the idea of putting Foote with Hedman. Thought he had some really good moments in the Leafs series despite what the underlying stats indicate. Sink or swim year for him in the organization, plenty of RHD in our prospect pool knocking on the door.

Feels pretty top heavy at every position. Gets a little better when Cirelli gets back.

I feel like we need a pleasant surprise or two to be real contenders come spring. Like maybe Colton becomes a 30 goal player, or maybe Fortier shows up like Cirelli lite. Maybe Paul can play consistently at last year's level. Or maybe Foote figures out how to hold his own against speed. Something.
