Oh trust me, I was one the most vocal on here about our goaltending last season. I just don't think Bob is worth $10m per season. I don't think any goaltender is.

He was the best goalie in the league in the last quarter of the season and the playoffs. We need to fix our goaltending no if ands or butts, and Bobrovsky is the best we're gonna get. So for me it's an easy decision.

Consistently? No. He's been great 3 years, good 3 years and mediocre to bad a bunch of years.

And Lehner has been a lot worse.

Only a few goalies like Hank and Rask have been absolutely elite every year for the last ten years. And even Hank is on the decline now.

But Bobrovsky is definitely in the next tier. Lehner doesn't hold Bob's jock strap.

Games - Dubnyk 192, Anderson 192, Bob 190.
Wins - Bob 115, Holtby 108, Anderson 107
GAA - Bob 2,35, Rask 2,35, Rinne 2,39
Sv% - Bob .922% Gibson .922% Rinne .921%
Shutouts - Bob 21, Vas 16, Rask 15.

Who is this guy in top 3 in each category, must be Carey Price - best goalie in the world. And all of this playing behind Torts "safe is death" system.
