Kirby Dach goal in the playoffs today.

Was just going to post. Absolutely dirty.

The NHL Network is showing a WHL playoff game. Prince Albert versus Saskatoon (Dach). Dach has the only goal so far. He skates and stick handles rather well!
Not according to everyone looking for reasons not to take him. Honestly though I could see him becoming a very good skater at the NHL level. I don't think his skating is bad and I don't see any concerns coming from it at the next level. He'll obviously have to put in some work but he'll get there imo.

If Dach skated like Dave Andreychuk, I might be concerned. As a lanky 17 year old kid, he has mucho room to grow and improve. I don't see an issue, specifically his skating, that would cause him to drop in the draft.

Was Dach the 1C for Saskatoon? His numbers are good but not staggering for the top ranked prospect in the CHL.

There's no reason to pick Dach in the top-4.

I wouldn't be so sure.

He's not in my Top 5 personally, but he is starting to rise into that area on a number of different lists. McKeens has him at #3, Bob McKenzie has him at #4, Future Considerations has him at #4, and Central Scouting now has him at #3/4

He's in that conversation it would appear.

For those that aren’t familiar with the WHL, Prince Albert are far and away the best team in Western Canada/USA.

They’re big, fast, and physical as I’m sure you guys have noted in this game. Prince Albert really pushed around Saskatoon in game one.

Seeing Dach’s response and the entire Saskatoon team is promising. One of the question marks with Dach has been his compete level.

The way he’s been battling and bouncing up to fight back after taking heavy hits is very encouraging.

Dach is gonna end up being one of the steals of the draft if he falls too far. He's got so much room to grow, and he's already pretty damn good.

Outside the top two I think he has the highest ceiling. He has IQ, Soft creative hands, vision, Size, defensive awareness and honestly I think his skating is good but others disagree. There is slight concern about his compete level but I think its overblown and he can find more consistency through refining his habits off ice.

Man, if you haven't read the two scouting reports on Hughes and Kakko from the Athletic today you're really missing out. They're outstanding. Really breaks down their games and puts their potential into perspective.

I found this if anyone is interested. One of our third round picks would be perfect (value) to move up, say, from #20 to #12 to grab Knight in the first round.

I doubt that this takes into account the fact of the drop off in talant from pick 2 to 3 and the later drop off as well. If we wind up picking 4th, I easily trade our 3rd rounder to move up 2 spots but no team in there right mind would do that I would think.

0 reason for a team picking top 2 to move down imo.
