Wasn’t Nylander #8 overall...if so adding don’t make any sense. I wouldn’t do that trade!

I was laughing at the fact the guy thought the Leafs would have to add a lot to Nylander to get the 13th overall pick. Chances that draft pick puts up a 60 point rookie season is very low.

Doesn't seem like a lock to me for top 5 scoring. JVR + Bozak + Komarov combined, had 54 goals.

thats 13 drafts. 1 guy is a top 4 dman (Morrisey). there are also a pair of 3C's (Eller/Faksa)
and a couple scoring 3rd line wingers (Vrana/Baertschi)

yeah, giving up multiple picks and prospects to move into a range that doesnt really have that much more success then where they are at makes no sense

notable 25th picks include Pastrnak, Roslovic, Cogliano and Berglund.

Matthews if healthy gets 10 extra goals
Nylander gets more PP time to account for the 3rd line duties
Marner likely gets more goals.
Brown gets more pp time. 20 as a rookie so talent is there

leafs will balance the scoring as usual. bozak and komarov only had 18 goals combined despite significant PP time, so that will be easily replaced. losing JVR could measn less goals for but it also could mean less goals against.


this team will be a 100+pt team again next year. guaranteed

Considering there have muliple asks of Nylander+, I don't think any leaf fans could offer up a deal that be considered fair because fair seems to be delusional.

Leafs are not going to move up to 13th, doesn't make sense at all.
