Most here never thought of him as a top 6 forward, but a bottom 6 guy .That has some size and can play C/LW,with some good defensive gameCan't really see how a meh-scoring 22 year old in the AHL would have a ton of value.
Management was blowing smoke to justify the Spezza trade.Nothing story. He was great two years ago at the WJC. Looked like a possible top-6 tweener. Disappointing season last year and got called out by management.
Apparently he's been better this year even if it isn't reflected in his point totals.
Management did like him a lot but Ottawa has a LOT of prospect around his age. He either needs to take the next step or he he's going to get passed.
Why specifically call him out 6 months later then? Why give him NHL games when he's doing well and then not give him any when he was struggling?Management was blowing smoke to justify the Spezza trade.
Bruh, I legit laughed reading thisAre they calling to ask who he is?
