Fox and McAvoy should anchor the top two pairings, with Weresnki, Petry, Slavin and Carlson rounding out the top six.

woooooooww....so no hughes, jones, krug, parayko.....sorry but petry should not be on the roster and slavin might have a hard time too with some up and coming dman coming

Slavin absolutely should be.
i would agree only because he fits a style that most of team USA doesn't but over seth jones???

i think it should be:

fox-carlson
werenski-jones
hughes-mcavoy
slavin

fix the pairing how you will idc. Time to move on from suter on team USA and there will be better options than petry

my roster:

Mathew Tkachuk - Auston Matthews - Patrick Kane
Kyle Connor - Jack Eichel - Jake Guentzel
Brady Tkachuk - Dylan Larkin - Blake Wheeler
J. Gaudreau- Vincent Trocheck - Brock Boeser

J.T. Miller - Max Pacioretty

Alex DeBrincat
Extra: Chris Kreider

Defense:

Jaccob Slavin - Charlie McAvoy
Jack Huges - John Carlson
Zach Werenski - Seth Jones
Adam Fox

more i think about it, the more slavin makes sense to have. Going to be tough to see which one of those 4 rhd dont make it but I can see fox gettting in for one of them. Slavin-Mcavoy would be a great shutdown pair. If only couts played for team USA, he would fit perfectly on the 4th line to shutdown the opposition

Drop Hughes. Carlson plays PP1, so Hughes most valuable part of his game isn’t needed. There can be a battle for that last spot.

Going to just be a Pens homer for a moment and say to watch John Marino. He should absolutely be in contention for a D-spot even if there are bigger names ahead of him right now.

Team USA Looking for Olympic Buy-in

“According to USA Hockey executive director Pat Kelleher, the team is hoping to hold an orientation camp in the summer, with a roster named around Jan. 1. Bowman said there's no rush on the coach, but it goes without saying that will be another big news story.”

A summer camp will be exciting to get an idea of who’s going. Bowman and Guerin are fine choices to build the team just need to nail the coach.

There are too many defensemen. Someone like Petry, rather objectively having a better season, likely won't make it. I think Guentzel is going to make it from the Pens though.

I'd say Matthew Tkachuk will be too tired to produce at all in that lineup of yours.

As a Pens fan, I think you are over rating Guentzel, under rating Rust. They both should be on the bubble players. Guentzel isn't all the way back from his shoulder injury yet, and Rust gets more consistently productive every year.

As a Canadian this is the first time I'd ever admit to being terrified of playing this team USA
They are going to be a well oiled machine no matter who the select

Drake Batherson is Canadian. Centres like Larkin and Miller are locks. USA doesn’t have the centre depth to not add those two players.
