Looking promising at defense with OEL, Hedman, Brodin and Enström (if he returns from injury) with Staffan Kronwall and perhaps an emerging SEL defenseman.

I looked up what we have in Europe and the standings in NHL. Here's what we might mobilize:

Right now:

Henrik Lundqvist
Anders Lindback
Jacob Markstrom

Nicklas Grossman - OEL
Victor Hedman - Anton Stralman
David Rundblad - Tim Erixon

Gabriel Landeskog - Nicklas Backstrom - Marcus Johansson
Loui Eriksson - Carl Soderberg - Carl Hagelin
Patric Hornqvist - Mikael Backlund - Magnus Paajarvi
Fredrik Pettersson - Joel Lundqvist - Marcus Nilson (Nilson has looked awesome this season, perfect checkingline player)

Brodin will play if healthy.

With the amount of good blueliners we currently have I'd be more surprised if we didn't ice something up to standard. Kinda ironic when you look at what we ice in the EHT.

Ekman-Larsson might miss WC on home ice because of Calder Cup. Hope this tragedy will never occur! He has a one way contract from next year on. Maybe Carl Söderberg is fighting for this as well.

In order to be eligible for the Calder Cup OEL needs to be sent down(or up) to Portland prior to the trade deadline. Not gonna happen.

BACKAR
2. Niclas Lundgren
6. Tom Nilsson
7. Henrik Tömmernes
9. Niclas Andersén
16. Tobias Viklund
33. Elias Fälth
37. Stefan Johansson

FORWARDS
12. Fredrik Pettersson

Some random names on this roster I must say. Not sure why Tom Nilsson is there but Wikstrand isn't and why Granström is there but Lindholm or Enterfeldt isn't. Not many guys on this roster will make the final team anyways and there appears to be more camps coming up.

Starting to look a bit weak at forward right now...but dont despair, Markstrom and one of OEL, Enstrom and Hedman on the ice all the time is a good start. Bring in Conny Evensson+ (vacation keyboard question mark, VKQM). Martenssons and Omarks are nneded this year.

Eriksson – Backlund - Landeskog
Th̦rnberg РM̴rtensson - H̦rnqvist
Lindberg – Järnkrok – Danielsson
Persson – Lundqvist – Pettersson
Omark

Enstrom - Hedman
Ekman-Larsson – Larsson
Tallinder – Kronwall S
Ekholm - Karlsson M

Markström
Lindbäck / Enroth
Ersberg / Gustafsson

We've got serious troubles down the middle.

Right now I'd take OEL, Hedman, Enström, S.Kronwall, Larsson, Ekholm on defense. Grossmann would've been perfect but he's out with concussion.

Markström is my starter.

Lund
Russia, Canada and Finland has to field some very weak teams for that to have a shot at a medal. This smells like another failure.
