I think Yeti would be a ghastly name. As others have mentioned Yetis are Himalayan, not from Utah! And no, I don't like Sasquatch either. lol I don't mind Outlaws, but most suggestions have been uninspiring.

Meh Kraken are from the Norwegian/North Sea and everyone and their dog was on board with that name for Seattle.

You can see what names this "Uyte, LLC" has registered by looking on the USPTO website.

search by 'owner' instead of 'wordmark' and look up Uyte.

Utah Outlaws is filed, although I haven't seen that reported on Twitter yet.

I don't like any of them, but if I had to choose then Blizzard or Outlaws. Yetis would be as cringe as Kraken. I still haven't gotten over how lame it is. And the shirt and logo are horrible.

I don’t understand the thought behind Outlaws? It’s it just because it kinda rhymes with Utah?

I like the name. It sounds cool and has cool branding potential. But it’s an old timey name and I don’t think Smith wants an old timey name.

I would love it.
I just would prefer a logo based around the wild west than a cartoon character.

It's wild that Copilot can spit out some pretty cool logos in 10 seconds but also seems to struggle with basic spelling.

Outlaws makes me think of the old ECHL Wranglers.

I had an idea for a different way of representing Utah Blizzard.

Minnesota Wild. They play in a city. Not exactly wild. Buffalo should be the Wild, since they have the wings. :DD

I like Blizzard. Also ok with Yeti.

How do y’all feel about plain ol “Utah Huskies”?

I think they’re a super cool looking mascot. I think they work for winter sports. I think kids would like it. Fits the identity. And there’s a proud “Huskies” tradition in hockey (collegiate mostly).

Not sure it’s “cutting edge” enough for Smith, though.

I have to say, I'm starting to like the Beehive/Hive concepts. Logos and colors work.

I hate Yetis suggestion, but the black/purple jersey in this thread is really cool.

It's funny how many better concepts there are even in this thread compared to what it will actually be in the end

I don't like Yetis. Sounds like a wildly overpriced bunch of beer coolers.

That said, it's almost surely going to go that way. :(
Honestly I think that this is why it won't be Yeti

Stanley is a multi-year corporate partner of the Jazz. I just can't see SEG naming the NHL team after a competitor (I know I know, its not the cooler company but thats what comes to alot of people's minds)

Drink out of a Stanley cup while Utah chases the Stanley Cup instead
