That's the type of trade Benning needs to make. Young guy ready to jump into the NHL

Getting a lot of solid guys to play in that bottom-6, I like it. McKeown/Dougherty would've been nice but this is a nice move.

Very skilled, you guys would know, his best play in the NHL was against the Canucks. He is a little smallish, but a very good skater, extremely smart, and a gifted playmaker. Not very physical, but he is defensively responsible. He dominated the AHL centering Pearson and Toffoli and they turned out pretty well. Good luck to him and you guys.

There you go, a skilled forward. Yet people will still complain.

I like it. Good AHL numbers. Still wouldn't have minded a swing for the fences pick though.

You don't sound very broken-up about losing him.

Any insight? I know nothing about this guy. I think I've heard his name once or twice.

Yes. He's a good player, potential Top 6 centerman. Dominated AHL already and didn't look out of place in NHL. LA didn't have room for him - too many centers.

Why not just keep Santorelli?

Vey has to improve to be what Santorelli was last year. He's in tough to make the show.
