That’s really good value for the Sharks. Thompson is 21 and having a really nice year in the AHL, he’s a good prospect…I think he’s pretty underrated because most people don’t even know the Bolts have prospects. Him and a third is very solid value.

A bit surprised TB traded Thompson but I guess Crozier emerging gave them a surplus on RD. You probably can't have both on the team at the same time, along with Perbix, Cernak and Raddysh...

Crozier is proving more ready but he’s much more in the stay at home mold, figured Thompson being two years younger and with more two-way upside would’ve been the guy to keep if you’ve already got Cernak and Perbix locked in as RHD.

It was going to be hard for Thompson to earn a regular spot in Tampa. He was definitely expendable. I like this move.
