Chrona was pretty far down the depth chart and with Alnefelt and Miftakov above him i just couldnt see him being anything more than a AHL starter

Chrona had a good season in 2019-2020 with Denver but had a down season this year.

Agree with you on Alnefelt and Miftakhov and that makes it easy to part with Chrona

Claesson has played sparingly in the NHL the past 3 seasons

2019 with NYR - 37 games / 17:15 ice time
2020 with NJ - 5 games / 14:29 ice time
2021 with SJ - 4 games / 11:34 ice time

Bye Coolest-player-name-for-a-goalie ever.

In all seriousness, I like this move and I wish Magnus the best of luck in his future endeavors

If he’s an upgrade over Bergman then I like it. I do think an insurance policy for injury on the left side makes sense.

Chrona had a not so great 2018-2019 season in Sweden:

8-18-0 | 4.00 gaa | .889 sv%

A great 2019-2020 season coming over to the States to play with Denver:

16-6-4 | 2.15 gaa | .920 sv% | NCHC goaltender of the year finalist

and then a not so great 2020-2021 season:

7-11-0 | 2.47 gaa | .907 sv%

He could be something or he could be nothing for SJ. But If you want to rank the Lightning goalie prospects, I'd go 1. Alnefelt, 2. Miftakhov, 3. Chrona
