So now we got two 3 time Cup winners. Seabrook and Maroon.
He’s done playing professionally, but isn’t “officially” retired yet. That allows him to continue to collect on his current contract until it is up after the 2024 season. Same as what we did with Mattias Ohlund years ago. While he is on LTIR, it does not count against the cap. A move like this is possible thanks to Vinik, as not every team owner is able to pay for an extra contract like this.What happent to Brent Seabrook contract after he did retire?
