I don't buy this. The players are still there it'll just be more of a crapshoot than normal for scouts.

Also that is not taking into account that some players are late bloomers also the determination of some of those players. You may get a kid in the 5th round that looks like he will be a long shot for a bottom six role. However that player loves the sport, soaks in everything the coaches tell him and works harder than everyone else. Next thing you know you got a top line forward out of no where. It's hard to judge those things without being intimate with the player. Something that scouts especially during Covid will have a hard time assessing.
