As a NJD fan...

Hall for nurse + 1st 2019 + pulju

...I'd easily decline this. Hall would make Oilers playoff team so that 1st pick would be late and Nurse + Pulju, while are OK pieces don't get you franchise player in his prime.

Draisaitl + 2018 1st for Hall + 2018 2nd would get it done. Doubt NJ does it, Hall is an untouchable, he's so ****ing good.

This is much better. 2018 1st is a lottery ticket and Draisaitl is a very good player, younger than Hall but on a way too big 2nd contract. This difference is compensated by the difference in picks, NJD haven't got 2018 2nd though, so it'd have to be 2019 2nd.

Wouldn't do it. Larsson isn't necessary piece for NJD as we have Severson and Vatanen as the top4 RHDs (with Lovejoy and Santini). Sure, Larsson is a better player than Severson but remember that we are giving franchise winger here so the upgrades elsewhere have to be massive to justify from going Johansson/Hall/Palmieri/Bratt as top4 wingers to Johansson/Pulju/Palmieri/Bratt.

To sum it up, dear Oilers fans, if you think you're getting franchise winger in his prime for "Halaks, Ryders and seconds" you'd better entertain the idea that your top wingers will be Lucic, Slepyshev, Pulju and Kassian. Gotta give to get, ya know.
