Absolutely zero chance in hell of this happening. He's the last person on the Leafs besides Matthews that would get moved.

Yup, hes going nowhere. And frankly, that's fine. Tavares is going to produce, that's not an issue. He and Matthews arent going anywhere.

Tavares might not live up to his contract, but he's still a #1 centreman on most teams and is a PPG player. Leafs should build around him, Matthews and Reilly. Get rid of those other soft overpaid wingers and build a team that is deep down the middle with hardworking winger and obviously much better defence.

11m may be a lot, especially in these times, but you'd be surprised to see how many teams would MAKE room to get JT in their roster.

I know TO fans are getting antsy, but this team has not had success because of organization and administration/staff...NOT because there isn't enough talent. They have their 1-2 punch..they have great wingers...their defensive strategy is crap. Also, if you don't pay attention, you might miss the opportunity in this goalie-rich offseason to get someone to either help Andersen or replace him.
