Whatever. Paint folks who don't think your way however you want.

We are mathematically still not in 30th. Based on what's at stake, I'm afraid/concerned. Not "anxiously concerned." Certainly not afraid.

Okay ****ers. You have 20 posts left in this thread to argue about your definitions of fear. But in tank thread version 18 there will be none of that crap!

lol really?

Which is awesome, because you just proved my argument. Well done.

1.
a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid.
Synonyms: foreboding, apprehension, consternation, dismay, dread, terror, fright, panic, horror, trepidation, qualm.
Antonyms: courage, security, calm, intrepidity.

There is not one word in that definition which describes anyone on this board. Those types of emotions come mostly in life threatening situations, or where loved ones are at dangers, etc.

.
a specific instance of or propensity for such a feeling:
an abnormal fear of heights.
Synonyms: phobia, aversion; bête noire, bogy, bogey, bugbear.
Antonyms: liking, fondness, penchant, predilection.

I'm not sure anyone has a phobia or any of this here.

.
concern or anxiety; solicitude:
a fear for someone's safety.

The situation is fear of safety.

This is all well over the top of what anyone thinks right now. But you did find "concern" in the definition. Must be true.

Any time anyone mentioned "Fear" all I think of is Marky Mark fingering Reese Witherspoon on a roller coaster.

Good times.

I've said before that the night we clinch at midnight the tank thread should be locked and done away with forever

I'm gonna print them all out and make a scrapbook for my son, so he knows what daddy went through

Fair enough. I'm afraid then. As someone who's met the definition for #1 multiple times over the past 15 years of war, I'm going to be OK with it. Glad you're tougher than that.
