I try to stock up on groceries and such about a week to 10 days before Christmas so i do not have to go anywhere near a store until like after new years.

I do the same the other 364 days of the year. On line shopping has been a godsend. Other than going to lumber and hardware stores in person, I pretty much never venture out to shop anywhere.
