Porto 2004

Tremendous response from the players, pundits, managers ( Guardiola and the shade he threw at it included ), federations, and government institutions. Not to mention fans.

The dominoes have fallen, with the added repercussions of several resignations.

Woodward leaving is a huge win for Man United fans, maybe we'll actually have a solid transfer window not filled with incompetency.

My question is this, there will have to be some form of punishment involved for the clubs/directors involved. What form will it take?
They already welcomed City back. There will definitely be no punishment.

Apparently the FA also told them that if they didn’t change their mind soon they would be banned.

Rumors UEFA offered the English teams a large sum to pull out, and not the Spanish teams.

ManU players had a revolt which lead to Woodward quitting.

Flo expected to make an announcement the Super League will go on without English teams.
That doesnt seem plausible at all.

There is talk they want to punish the individual masterminds and not the whole clubs.

Perez allegedly wants to continue the ESL without the English clubs, and is still in a meeting, late for an planned interview.

In a way I'm kind of glad they tried it now. If they tried it a few years from now it might have worked. Instead they tried it way too soon and pissed all over themselves. And in the process because of their arrogrance and their greed they ensured nobody will dare try this again. Might also bring transfer fees and wages down because owners aren't able to count on passing some piece of shit like this.
